A child was among this year’s fatalities. The Georgia State Patrol reports that 10-year-old Michael Jaimes was in a van with his family on Saturday, November 26 when their vehicle was hit by a motorcycle on Ga. 61. This Bartow County crash took Michael’s life and the life of the 27-year-old motorcyclist. Two of Michael’s relatives, ages 5 and 13, were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening car accident injuries. The driver of the van was not hurt in the crash.

We extend our condolences to Michael’s family and friends and to the family and friends of the other 14 people who lost their lives over the holiday weekend.
