The Labor Day holiday weekend proved deadly on Georgia's roadways as 10 fatalities were reported by Georgia State Patrol during the period from 6 p.m. Friday until midnight Monday.
A total of 373 car wrecks were investigated by State Patrol during the weekend, and there were 230 injuries reported in addition to the fatalities.
According to police, 240 people were arrested for driving under the influence and nearly 1,000 citations were issued for seat belt violations.
