Person Killed While Changing Tire, Second Person Hit Was Taken To Hospital

Police stated that a person was killed and another injured after being struck by a vehicle entering northbound I-75.
A multi-vehilce accident followed the initial incident and traffice was backed up for about three miles, stretching south into Henry County, according to the Department of Tranportation.
“They were changing a tire in the gore in between the entrance ramp and 75,” stated Morrow Police spokesman Capt. James Callaway. The gore being a V-shaped area where the on-ramp merges onto the highway.
The injured individual was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Callaway said that the driver who hit the individuals did stop.
