On Friday night August 5, 2011, Patrick Sebastian Smith, of Atlanta, was driving his motorcycle on Cadillac Boulevard just before midnight when he was struck and killed by another vehicle. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating this fatal Paulding County motorcycle crash and has said that the driver of a Pontiac G6 turned in front of the motorcycle and caused the vehicles to collide.
The driver of Pontiac has been identified as 23-year-old Joshua Michael Mosley, of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Mosley has been arrested and charged with numerous Georgia crimes including driving under the influence (DUI), failure to yield, vehicular homicide in the first degree and open container. He is currently being held in Paulding County jail.
The Georgia State Patrol says that Mr. Mosley had two other people in the car with him at the time of the crash. There is no report on whether Mr. Mosley or his passengers, who reportedly included his 16-year-old brother, were injured.
