On August 8, 2011, a motorcyclist was hit by a truck in Newnan. According to officials, the Georgia motorcycle crash occurred on LaGrange Street just before 8:00 PM Monday night.

According to Newnan Traffic Officer Brent McComas, the accident took place at the intersection of LaGrange and Watson Drive.

According to Matthew Harris, the 24-year-old driver of the 2006 Dodge Ram, he was stopped at a stop sign on Watson Street. After looking both ways, he says that he did not see or hear a motorcycle before he attempted to make a left onto LaGrange. Harris' passenger also had the same account of this crash.

Natasha Magloire, 27, the driver of the Kawasaki ZX-6R, was traveling on LaGrange Street and was struck by the truck Harris was driving.

Authorities said the Magloire sustained a broken leg and was injured. Although authorities called for a helicopter ambulance, the helicopter could not fly due to stormy weather, and she was transported to Atlanta Medical Center by ambulance following the crash.

Magloire underwent surgery to repair her leg, and she continues to recover from her injuries at the hospital.

Authorities are still investigating this crash, and traffic charges are pending the investigation.

The Dover Law Firm would like to wish the motorcyclist injured in this accident a full and fast recovery.
