Authorities have reported that on Monday evening, a 16-year-old girl from Dawsonville, was killed “car surfing”.
Georgia Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Franka Young states that Anna Gabrielle Hawkins had been riding on the roof of a speeding car and as the car went into a curve she was thrown from the vehicle.
“The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control, struck an embankment and traveled across the roadway,” Young said.
It is unclear how fast the driver was going at the time of the accident. Whether or not charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle will be determined by the investigations done by the Georgia State Troopers.
The Dover Law Firm extends its sympathies to the Hawkins family.
