Tuesday morning August 30, 2011 was a dangerous morning on the streets of Hall County, Georgia. Two separate Hall County car accidents injured six people and killed one person in the early morning hours.
The first accident occurred in Gainesville at the intersection of McEver and Gould Roads. Police report that 57-year-old Ehsanul Haque died in the crash, and that the other driver Layla Pervin and her 9-year-old passenger were injured. Their injuries were believed to be minor.
The second crash involved a head-on collision between a concrete truck and an SUV. The SUV driver and two children, ages 7 and 9, who were passengers in the SUV were airlifted to area hospitals. It is reported that one of the children needed to be revived after trauma arrest. Both children were taken to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta, and the driver was taken to Atlanta Medical Center. The driver of the concrete truck was also injured and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
