Late Tuesday night a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking along a Fayette County Highway.
The incident occurred on GA 85 at Edgewood Parkway around 11:30 p.m.
A southbound tractor-trailer struck the man who was in the roadway, stated Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb.
The man died at the scene and his name is being withheld until relatives can be notified.
According to Sheriff Babb, no charges have been filed against the truck driver.
