Toddler and Two Adults Hurt in Albany Crash

Posted on Oct 08, 2010

A car accident sent three people to the hospital on Thursday, September 30, 2010.  The crash occurred early Thursday morning at the intersection of Nottingham Way and Ledo, Road in Albany, Georgia.

The Georgia State Patrol reports that  24-year-old Katie Cross and her 14-month-old son were travelling east on Ledo Road in their black GMC truck.  The toddler’s name has not yet been released to the media.

At the same time, 25-year-old Jonathan Smith was travelling west on Ledo Road.  Mr. Smith was attempting to turn left on to Nottingham Way when the two vehicles collided.  He was driving a white Ford pickup truck.

Jonathan Smith, Katie Cross, and the 14-month-old toddler were all taken to area hospitals with injuries.  All three are expected to recover from their injuries.  Police have not yet determined the cause of this serious Georgia car accident.  They are continuing to investigate this crash.  However, they have ruled out alcohol as a possible factor in this accident.

We extend our best wishes for a full and quick recovery to Jonathan Smith, Katie Cross and the young child involved in this Georgia car crash.
