Allan Dire is facing multiple traffic charges after a Dawson County car crash sent a 13-year-old to the hospital in serious condition earlier this month.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Harmony Church Road and Georgia 400. Authorities report that Mr. Dire was driving a pickup truck and was trying to get away from the scene of a crash in a nearby Kroger parking lot when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a utility pole.

Mr. Dire's 13-year-old passenger was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters report that the utility pole was on the truck, and they had to wait until the utility company removed the live wires before they could get the girl out of the damaged vehicle.

The 13-year-old passenger, whose name has not been released, was flown to Eglestown Hospital in serious condition. There is no report of Mr. Dire's condition, nor is there any word on injuries from the alleged accident in the Kroger parking lot.

We wish the young girl injured in this crash a full and quick recovery, and we extend our best wishes to anyone else who was injured in this Dawson County car accident.
