Last month, a fatal Georgia accident took several lives near the Tattnall and Long County line. The crash occurred on Thursday, October 20 on Ga. 144. Only one person survived the crash.

According to reports of the accident, a pickup truck was hit by an SUV that drifted into its lane on the rural road. Both vehicles allegedly attempted to swerve to avoid the collision and ended up crashing head-on.

The pickup truck was being driven by a grandmother. Three of her grandchildren were in the vehicle with her. The grandmother has been identified as Janice McCurdy, of Glennville. She was killed in this crash along with her grandchildren, 7-year-old Mollie McCurdy and 2-year-old Spencer McCurdy. Turner McCurdy, 9, survived the crash and was taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Janice, Mollie and Turner were reported to be wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and Spencer was restrained in a child safety seat.

The driver of the pickup truck, Jose Antonio Robles-Vera and his passenger Pedro Juan Robles were also killed in the crash.

We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and we extend our best wishes to Turner McCurdy for a full and fast recovery following this Georgia car accident.
