74-year-old Mary Joyce Miller, of Ohio, was killed in a Fulton County motorcycle accident on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 285 near Washington Road.

According to reports of this crash, Mrs. Miller was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband Jerry Miller. The couple was traveling northbound on I-285 when the SUV in front of them slowed down unexpectedly, and the motorcycle crashed into the SUV. Both Mr. and Mrs. Miller were thrown from their bike upon collision. Mrs. Miller was killed in the crash, and Mr. Miller suffered minor scrapes and bruises but declined treatment at the accident scene.

The SUV had slowed down to avoid hitting a car in front of it that had stopped in the second lane from the median with a flat tire. That car was driven by 35-year-old Mbemba Saja Touray, of Atlanta. According to Fulton police, Touray has been charged with improper stopping on the highway and vehicular homicide.

Neither Touray or John Erickson, the driver of the SUV, were hurt in the crash.

We extend our sincere condolences to Jerry Miller, and the rest of Mary Miller's relatives and friends following this tragic Georgia motorcycle crash.
