Three people were hurt and three others were killed in a Hall County car cash on Wednesday March 30, 2011. The two-vehicle crash occurred on Clarks Bridge Road near Honeysuckle Road.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a Chrysler Town & Country was traveling south on Clarks Bridge Road and crossed the center line. It is believed that the Town & Country crossed the center line because it drove off the right shoulder of the road and then overcorrected, though the official cause of the accident is still under investigation.

When the Town & Country crossed the center line it was put in the path of a Range Rover SUV, and the SUV hit the Town & Country on the passenger side.

Lt. Paul Cosper of the Georgia State Patrol said that all three of the people in the Town & Country were killed. Their names have not yet been released.

The Range Rover was being driven by Angela Jakel, of Gainesville. Ms. Jakel and her twin daughters, age 11, were all taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injuries.

We extend our best wishes for a quick and complete recovery to Ms. Jakel and her daughters, and we extend our condolences to the families of the people killed in this Hall County accident.
