Georgia State Patrol reports that charges are pending in a Saturday, September 10, 2011 Coweta County car accident. The two-vehicle crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Lower Fayetteville Road.

According to police, Donald Allen Barber, of Sharpsburg, was driving a white Chevrolet Avalanche on Lower Fayetteville Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with blue Dodge Durango driven by Trishica Leatrice Evans, of Newnan. Mr. Barber and Ms. Evans were both airlifted to area hospitals. One was taken to Grady Memorial and the other to Atlanta Medical Center. A passenger in the Durango, Krashina Rae McMillan, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The Durango overturned in the crash and caught fire. A coworker and friend of Ms. Evans was unable to identify her car. Reports indicate that Ms. Evans suffered several broken bones and significant burns in this Georgia head-on collision. She is reported to have had surgery the day after the crash and skin grafts in the days following this accident.
