On Friday, February 25, 2011, a tractor trailer and seven other vehicles were involved in a Cobb County accident on Interstate 20.  The crash occurred on I-20 Eastbound near Six Flags.

According to Cobb County officials, traffic slowed down because of sun glare that morning.  A tractor trailer almost rear-ended a car that was slowing down, but the truck driver swerved to avoid crashing into it.  As a result of the swerve, the truck crashed into a parked car on the shoulder and went off the embankment.

When the truck hit the parked car, a chain reaction started involved eight vehicles, including the tractor trailer. At least five people were hurt in this crash and were taken to area hospitals for treatment of their accident injuries.  Cobb Fire and Hazmat crews were called to the accident scene to help clean up a fuel spill that resulted from the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the names or ages of those injured in this crash.  Our Atlanta car accident lawyers wish everyone involved in this Georgia multi vehicle truck accident a quick and complete recovery.
