A Gwinnett County family of three was spared serious injuries when a car drove into their home on Thursday July 21, 2011. However, their home and those involved in the crash were not so lucky.

According to reports of the accident, two vehicles collided on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Norcross. After the impact of the collision, one of the cars, a Honda Accord, went off the road, drove through a fence, through the backyard, over a deck and into a family's living room. The home is located in the 1100 block of Falling Water Lane.

In addition to glass all over the living room, the homeowners reported a broken TV and a large hole in the exterior wall of the home. Video from the accident shows that additional damage was done to the exterior fence, yard, windows of the home, and potentially to other possessions.

Two people involved in the car crash were taken to a local area hospital for treatment of their Gwinnett County accident related injuries. Nobody inside the house was injured.

The cause of this Gwinnett County car accident remains under investigation. We wish everyone who was hurt in the crash or who suffered a substantial loss to their home a full and fast recovery.
