A serious Jackson County accident sent a young child and two adults to the hospital on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Around 10 p.m. that evening a passenger vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor trailer on Interstate 85, north of the Braselton exit.

The collision caused the top of the vehicle to be ripped off. The young child was ejected from the car and was found in the middle of the median on I-85. The child was still strapped into his car seat when he was found. He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he was reported to be in stable condition in the days following this Jackson County truck accident.

A female passenger and a male passenger traveling with the young child had to be extricated from their vehicle. They were also taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where the woman was reported to be in stable condition, and the male was reported to be in critical condition.

The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating the cause of this accident. The identities of the Georgia truck accident victims have not yet been released. We extend our best wishes to all of the victims for a fast and complete recovery from their accident injuries.
