A new bride died in an Atlanta car and truck collision on Sunday night April 24, 2011. The crash occurred on I-285 southbound near MLK Drive.

According to Atlanta Police, the truck driver was attempting to change lanes when he hit a Nissan Sentra, driven by Danyal Holley. Ms. Holley and her new husband were both in the car at the time of the crash. After the impact of the collision, their car hit the right guardrail and then ended up across the highway where it was struck by another tractor-trailer, which caused the car to flip and land on its side.

Ms. Holley was killed in the Fulton County truck accident. Her husband, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries.

The truck driver has been identified as 51-year-old Jack Parsons. Mr. Parsons was arrested and charged with improper lane change and second degree vehicular homicide.

We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Danyal Holley and most especially to her husband to whom we also extend our best wishes for a full and complete physical recovery following this Atlanta truck crash.
